Diagnostic Testing Services

At Sleep Studies Australia all of our diagnostic testing services are performed by physicians who are certified in sleep medicine.

We offer the latest diagnostic technology and highest level of comfort and care to ensure a successful outcome for our patients.

Home Sleep Testing

Home sleep tests are used to diagnose Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA), Snoring, Periodic Limb Movement Syndrome and Insomnia. They also provide valuable information to assist in the diagnosis of Central Sleep Apnoea, Delayed Sleep Phases Syndrome and Narcolepsy.

Patients visit one of our clinics for an initial assessment and are given a device and instructions about how to use it.

The device is worn overnight to monitor breathing, oxygen levels, brain activity, cardiac activity and body movement using several simple sensors applied to the skin’s surface.

The device is then returned the following morning to Sleep Studies Australia for assessment.

The study is interpreted by one of our sleep specialists, who prepares a detailed report and suggested treatment plan for the patient’s referring GP or specialist.

CPAP Clinic

Sleep Studies Australia provides a convenient CPAP rental program, which provides Western Australian patients with access to: CPAP Masks, Flow Generators and Accessories from several manufacturers.

At our CPAP Clinic, patients receive initial and ongoing education, training and support and receive individual instruction from our trained therapists.

Our clinic also offers mask-refitting, calibration of machine pressure settings, monitoring of CPAP compliance and CPAP desensitisation.
